Founded in 1986 by Prof. Dr. Otto Hasibuan, S.H., M.M., Otto Hasibuan & Associates (“OHA”) is a leading litigation & dispute resolution law firm in Indonesia. Our practices include criminal and civil litigation, arbitration, bankruptcy, state administrative law, as well as other dispute resolution matters.
We are pleased to share that we have been trusted to become the counsel of Mr. Joko Widodo, Indonesia’s 9th President, and his family in various civil and administrative matters. We were also trusted to represent Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mr. Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Indonesia’s President-Elect and Vice President Elect for the 2024-2029 term, in the presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court.

As the Founding Partner, Otto has been an active member of the International Bar Association since 1985. Domestically, he is also a notable organizational figure. Otto was the president of the Indonesian Bar Association (IKADIN) for two terms in 2003-2015 and is currently the president of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI). In the public sector, Otto was a member of the Indonesian Penal Code Drafters and was also appointed as the Chief Legal Advisor of Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime affairs.
